    SEO content targets your users who are prospective customers of your brand on the likes of Google. It includes using keyword research and high-quality writing to rank higher in search engine results pages (SERPs) and attract more website traffic as a result.

    When content is created with SEO in mind, it focuses on naturally incorporating keywords that are strategic to your brand’s offering into the copy itself. This text is then published on your target pages, effectively ranking them (hopefully) for your chosen keywords. The end results are increased website traffic and conversions from those looking for those specific products/services.

    Writing SEO-friendly content is somewhat of an art-form. Google prioritises quality writing more than ever before, but you’ll also need to juggle keywords into that balance. That’s where understanding how to appeal to user value and search engine tactics comes in handy.

    You need to include high-volume keywords into your content seamlessly and naturally. It’s important not to spam them, as this comes off as a negative to Google. If you over-use keywords, you risk being penalised. Additionally, all content must be unique; you can’t copy and paste copy from elsewhere and put it on your own site. Within your content, you’ll also need to include internal links to tie all of your target pages together. Above all, heading optimisation needs to be actioned on every page you’re writing for.

    • DO NOT spam your keywords. A few mentions are enough
    • Aim for at least 500 words per page, if not more
    • Include internal links to your target pages, where relevant
    • NEVER copy and paste content from elsewhere
    • Update and refresh your copy frequently – including blogs.
